How did Jesus ascend into heaven?
I think you have consider first the Bible speaks of heaven in the plural. He appeared to be rising into the air and vanished from the sight of the disciples. This is the lower heaven. The Bible speaks of at least three heavens because in II Corinthians 12:1-2 Paul speaks of being caught up into the third heaven – the heaven of God. Just what the relationship is between the material realm and the spirit realm, we cannot say. God has concealed this from mankind and no amount of prying or investigation is going to uncover it. The interesting thing is He is coming back in exactly the same way he left – that is, to the Mount of Olives.
