Wow, this is a great question. The theory of evolution describes an earth that is about 4.5 billion years old. Therefore, all I have to do is prove that earth is much younger than 4.5 billion years. First, we should recognize these interesting facts and then get to the point. We continually have salt being dumped in the ocean due to a variety of conditions. Because of the hydrologic cycle salt is left behind in the ocean. So, any salt that goes into the ocean stays. The amount of salt in the ocean actually provides an argument for the fact that the earth is not nearly as old as what some scientists would like to believe. You see, we have studied the hydrologic cycle enough to know how much salt get put into the ocean every year. In addition, we have a pretty good idea of how much salt is removed from the ocean every year.
