TMS is a treatment that is given in the office while a person is fully awake. It is painless and completely noninvasive, so no anesthesia or sedation is needed. In order, to be effective, TMS must be administered daily (Monday through Friday). Each treatment session lasts anywhere from 20 minutes up to about one hour, depending on the treatment protocol being used.
