How do i treat sores on a ferret?

The first answerer was right on. Fleas can carry infection and if your ferret scratched to the point of sores, then you need to bring him to the vet to make sure that he’s okay. If they’re just plain ole sores, ask your vet for a wash. My Ghost got a little rash around his doodle once and the vet gave me this bottle of blue liquid that I diluted and rinsed the affected area with. I wish I could remember what it was called… But your vet will know the best thing to do. There’s not really any way to stop him from scratching. (As a side note, you used flea medicine that was safe for ferrets, right? Ferrets have very sensitive skin and you can’t use flea dip and flea collars and such that you would use for a cat or dog – they can be potentially fatal. So, when you go to the vet make sure to tell him what you used to treat the infestation so he can rule that out as a cause of the sores.) -Swan (formerly NotSoSwan – yeah… I’m back…) Owner of 4 ferrets: Ghost, Calypso, Bear, Fin EDIT: We
