Is Rutland Manor a puppy mill?
I just googled Rutland Manor to see if they’re still in business and this question came up. My family “adopted” a puppy from Rutland Manor /Beverley Manners about three years ago. Of course we love our little girl (okay, she’s not that little), but we’ve had one problem after another with her health and our vet says it is due to inbreeding and/or irresponsibly breeding dogs who had health issues to begin with. Beverley attacked us when we asked about the health issues. Since then, my partner has met other labradoodles in LA who came from Rutland Manor and they had similar issues, most specifically when it came to dealing with Beverley Manners. We thought we were purchasing a puppy from a “research center”, but now we are sure Rutland Manor is a puppy mill. Unfortunately, they do not care about the dogs, their health, nor their well-being. Save yourself a lot of grief and run the other direction from anything Rutland Manor related.
