What is the strategy of the RWE Group?
Our goal is to be one of the leading European energy utilities, combining profitability with stability. We will realise this goal by focussing on the European energy and gas markets. Our target markets for generating, selling and trading energy will therefore continue to be Germany, the Benelux region, the UK as well as Central and Eastern Europe. In each of these markets, we are the market leader with at least one of our two key products, electricity and gas. This business model provides us with a balanced platform which is only marginally subject to economic fluctuations. We continuously improve our earnings by means of organic growth and improvements in efficiency. By following this strategy, we continuously increase shareholder value and provide a basis for attractive dividends.
