Are SIF grants multi-year grants?
EMCF’s investment relationship with a grantee generally is a multi-year engagement. We anticipate that successful applicants will likely receive three-year grants totaling $4-6 million, and the first-year amount will be approximately $2 million. The federal portion of these SIF grants consists of one-year grants, and renewal of SIF grants in subsequent years will depend on reauthorization of additional funds by Congress and approval from Corporation for National and Community Service, as well as on a grantee’s performance against milestones the previous year.
