Baby bird found, how can i feed it?
Okay, many people on here have mentioned that the parent birds will not take the babies back. It is FALSE. Birds don’t have a sense of smell. You can confirm this by looking up info on wildlife websites regarding fledglings. A mash of baby beef food, applesauce, egg yolk, and cornmeal is a good substitute for their regular diet. If you find a couple of soft bugs, offer them to the birds. If they are feathered chances are they are fledglings. They will learn to fly in a few days. Normally, the parent birds take care of their young on the ground feeding them and scaring predators away. Fledglings need to exercise and learn how to forage for themselves. I am sure they have not been abandoned especially if they are thriving and have big, luscious poops! Try placing them in the area they came from (if you know, of course). Their calls will attract their parents as they recognize their young by sight and sound. If you’re concerned take the time to stand far enough away as to not to scare the
