Anyone requiring transportation in Macon County, North Carolina is eligible to ride MCT. We provide transportation for general purpose trips, medical trips, and almost any non-emergency trip destination. What Hours Can I Ride Macon County Transit? MCT Operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Please be ready for your ride at least 45 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Pick-ups are usually at least thirty (30) minutes before your appointment time. However, clients should always be ready 45 minutes prior to their appointment time. Out of county medical transportation will require earlier pick-ups. Scheduling A Ride Request for transportation must be received by 2:00 pm at least one working day prior to the date of the trip that is within Macon County. Appointments that are scheduled in advance (prior to the day before) are preferred. Ride requests are not taken on the weekend; therefore, a request for transportation on Monday must be made by 2:00 pm the preceding Fri
