How Do You Make Popcorn In A Pot?
Popcorn is a favorite snack food for many. Some people prefer extra butter and some prefer none. The microwave has made this treat that much faster to enjoy. The old fashioned way of making popcorn still produces the best taste in my opinion. Turn heat on the stove to med high. Then add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pot. Pour in desired amount of kernals. Look on the bag for measurments and serving size. Place the lid on top of the pot and grab a hold of each handle and start shaking back and forth. Keep the pot on the burner. You must not stop the shaking or this will cause the popcorn to stick to the bottome and burn. When you do not hear much popping then the popcorn is probably done. In a sauce pan add 1/2 cup of butter. Turn on low heat and melt. Pour popcorn in a large bowl. Take the melted butter and pour over the top and add a few sprinkles of salt. Make sure to stir well.
