Yes, Gates Scholars may apply for the discretionary dependants’ allowance. For the 2009-10 academic year the amounts are: • £5,662 for a partner • £3,222 for the first child • £1,099 for each subsequent child The dependants allowance is awarded at the Trust’s discretion.
