What has the ICNR accomplished?

The ICNR has designed and developed a Web site with information pertaining to the nursing shortage in Illinois for the media, other nurses and the public. We have presented testimony in Peoria related to the nursing shortage, and sent letters to the Governor’s Task Force on Patient Safety, as well as the Editor of the Chicago Tribune after the Michael Behrens series on nursing errors. We have also held workshops on how to recruit and retain nurses, and are planning another workshop for spring 2003.
