What is a House Blessing?
A house Cleansing is a ceremony that prepares the house for it’s new inhabitants. Energy and emotions can be left over from those that have lived there before. A cleansing makes the energy of the house fresh and new. A variety of methods can be used to cleanse a house. Many use a Native American practice called smudging, some use Wiccan methods such as brooms and bells, and sometimes I even use Reiki and other visual methods. Once the house is cleansed, then it is usually blessed by the Priest/ess. This can be done energetically as well as with prayers of protections and blessings. I’ve used many methods, depending on the needs/wants of those that have engaged my services. A cleansing/blessing can also be needed if your family is feeling a lot of stressful emotions. They can build up in the house and you will find yourself being angry for no reason. A cleansing/blessing can remove this stress and calm the energy of the house down again.
