Where is the keyboard layout stored?
The active keyboard is stored in the windows registry. The keyboard layout editor comes with a facility to import/export this to file, allowing you to easily switch between layouts, or to quickly apply a layout you have created to a lot of machines. Ekushey stores the Bengali layout in files with the extension ‘.21B’, while Ekushey English layout files have a ‘.21E’ extension. These are in an easily understood text form, so if you are careful with spelling, and remember that they are case sensitive, you can even edit them by hand if you prefer.
