What are Poverty Suppers?
Occasionally we gather together for a poverty supper. These are announced ahead of time. Each time we meet for a Poverty Supper we eat a simple meal of beans and rice. The simplicity of this meal reminds us of struggles of over 1 billion people on our planet who live on the equivalent or less each day. We also accept monetary donations of which we give 100% away to alleviate hunger both locally and worldwide. To date we’ve raised and given over $400 to agencies like Cherry Street Mission, Food for Thought, and World Vision.
