Is SDM compatible with Macintosh?
No, unfortunately Suunto software is not Mac compatible at this time. The transmission repeatedly breaks during uploading over the PC interface. Please make sure that you are not running any other programs that may interfere with the serial port and cause an interruption of the transfer. Network cards may also sometimes cause a problem. Also check the transfer-PC transfer setup-COM Delay setting. Increasing the COM Delay value usually solves “transfer timed out” problems. I keep receiving the following error every time I try to download my information. “The transfer of the memory timed out” Ensure that your dive computer is in its transfer mode, clean the contacts and try again.” Please check your port settings: Go to Port settings and make sure that the speed is 9600 and buffers are set to low (both receive and transmit). In order to do this go to: Start > Control > System > Device Manager > Com Port > Right click >Properties > Port Settings > Advanced > Scroll Buffers to Low on both
