Whos Counting Pollen?
Northern New Mexico College (NNMC), in partnership with Dr. Richard Honsinger of the Los Alamos Medical Care Clinic (LAMCC), is the current provider of pollen data. Viviana Sandra Balzaretti Maggi collects and counts the pollen for submittal to the AAAAI National Allergy Bureau. Current pollen data from NNMC are being entered into the LANL pollen database and are displayed in the yearly comparison chart. Historic pollen data for the time period beginning February 2003 through July 2007 has been archived and made available for yearly comparisons. Historic pollen data was provided by a joint effort of LANL and the Los Alamos Medical Care Clinic (LAMCC); pollen was collected and counted by Dr. Alice Baumann of LANL’s AIRNET Field Team and the data were submitted to the AAAAI National Allergy Bureau.
