Split the WiresUse wire cutters to sever, and remove the plug completely. Open the plug, and put in a 6-inch cord through the plug’s housing. Split the two wires apart. Cut the wires with a sharp utility knife, and tear them 2 inches apart. Twirl the wire strands together, curving them until they form a loop. Bend the loops clockwise. Attach the loops to their matching terminal screws. Affix the white wire under the silver terminal screw, and connect the black wire under the brass terminal screw.Begin the Wiring ProjectAttach the grounding wire located on the grounding prong underneath the green terminal screw.
