stacks” mean?
The stacks are where we keep the majority of our books and magazines. Whenever you look up a title in OSCAR, your will see a location code at the bottom left of the record. It may often refer you to a specially designated section, such as microfilm, reference, or government documents. If the location says Main stacks, EHS stacks, SEL stacks, etc., this is our way of saying that the item is not in a specially designated section, and is shelved with the majority of materials. In the Main library, the stacks are floors 2-11.
