What does activated carbon mean?
Activated carbon is processed carbon capable of effectively removing gas molecules and odors. Activated carbon can be found in many products including military gas masks. Activated carbon is created in a steaming process. This process enlarges the carbon’s surface pore size and enables the carbon to increase the surface area used to improve odor and gas adsorption.
