Are cadets brainwashed?
Believe it or not, this really is a common question. USMA cadets, as well as the cadets from the other academies, are like students at any university. While West Point focuses on producing leaders of the highest character for our nation’s Army, cadets are not “brainwashed” or “robots.” As an institution of academic excellence, West Point encourages all manner of ideas and discussions among students, guests, and faculty alike. You will likely find that cadets have very different opinions about the same subjects which concern students at traditional colleges and universities.
