How much to rent a flat?
I agree with Laura. There is so much you have to consider when renting a flat, and without any detail we can’t tell you squat. If you live in a city, the same amount of space you get for a standard £100 flat in the country, may well be in their millions. You will have to consider whether your landlords are tolerable, quality of flat you are going to get, the location relative to things like shopping centre or the train station. It will also matter if you get parking space or if you get everything paid for (i.e. TV license, water bills, electricity bills, gas bills, etc.). I will matter if you can get out of your parking space easily and whether you will be in a queue of traffic in the morning. It will matter what type of neighbourhood you are in and where in the country you are in. In the UK, it is reasonable to get a 200ppm flat inc. bills in a town/city near the south (i.e. south of Peterborough) which has car parking space, even though it’s more common to find something like 250ppm.
