Do Push Up Workouts Work?
As long as there have been athletes and organized military there have been push-ups. Push up have been recorded as far back as Roman emperor Constantine, but had been around far before the Roman Empire. Push-ups have been around so long nobody can give credit to the inventor. So why should we care? In our age of modern technology we can get a better upper body workout with myriad of expensive machines on the market… right? Wrong! The push-up has been around for thousands of years, because it’s a damn near perfect exercise. It portable, just need you body, it works several muscle groups, back, arms, chest, and yes even the abs, it’s for any fitness level, you can change resistance from low (push-ups from your knees) to high (elevate your feet on a chair), it versatile by placing your hands closer or farther apart, you change the muscle group your working hardest, and of course, it is cheap..
