Which places to visit in Japan?
Oh, wow! I just love Japan. Apart from the fact that you could probably spend a lifetime in Tokyo without seeing everything there is to see, I suggest do some of the following: 1. See Kyoto, a beautiful, old city 2. Use the bullet train 3. Use a traditional bath house 4. Try booking into a Ryokan (but read up first, it’s difficult; and they may not admit foreigners) 5. Matsumoto, Nagano, has a great Samurai castle 6. In the mountains around Matsumoto, you can visit sake wineries and glass blowing factories 7. There is a place in the mountains with hot springs in which wild monkeys are hanging out, which is very amusing, in my opinion. 8. Hokkaido is a beautiful place, as is most of the rest of the country, actually… but Hokkaido somehow does it for me more than the other regions, don’t know why. It’s more… northerly, I suppose. Have fun! Man, I wish I could come, too.
