What is an IFE?
An IFE is an Independent Fundraising Event or initiative, organized by an individual or a team, aimed at raising money for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing through The Dempsey Challenge. All funds raised through an IFE are credited to one or more participant’s fundraising goal. Can you give me some examples of Independent Fundraising Events? Sure! A few examples include: 1. A Mother-Son dance held the weekend of Mother’s Day. Tickets were sold and all proceeds benefited the M1 Chemo Commandos team. 2. Doggies for Dempsey. A fee was paid to enter your dog in this strut your mutt-type event. All proceeds benefited the Peace Love Photons team. 3. Garage Sale. Several garage sales have been held and all proceeds benefited the hosting team. 4. Friends of Mel bracelets. Interested team members accept $15 donations for bracelets and $5 of the donation goes directly to the individual team member’s fundraising.
