What is Phi Delta Kappa?
Phi Delta Kappa is an international professional association for men and women in education. Professional membership is composed of professionals in the field of education, of graduate students preparing for careers in education, and undergraduates who are enrolled in or have successfully completed students’ teaching. Student membership is composed of undergraduates who are interested in pursuing a career in education but have not yet done students teaching. Who belongs to the Towson Chapter of PDK? The Towson University Chapter of PDK was established on February 25, 1972, and has nearly 200 members comprised of teachers, school and central office administrators, social workers, counselors, university faculty, student teachers, and undergraduates in education. What does the Towson Chapter do? Each year, the chapter holds 5-6 programs, including a community outreach project, presentations by national and regional speakers on current topics and research in education, an awards program, a
