Why Iron Maiden?
Johnny: I learned all the songs from Killers as a kid so when Donny and I found each other and realized we had the same goals in mind, it just made sense to get together and rock some Maiden. Lorenzo: I was looking for a different band, something challenging. When I found the advertisement, I had never played Iron Maiden before but had always listened to them. I have an appreciation for their complexity. The music is very dynamic. The Examiner: Why did you pick Piece of Mind as your band name? Jon: Piece of Mind was chosen because it represents the early era of Iron Maiden, which is our favorite era. The Examiner: Where have you performed and what are your favorite venues? POM: The Marquee Theatre always makes us feel special when we play there. They make us feel like a rock stars. We also enjoy playing at venues such as The Blooze and Joes Grotto. Places like Club Red and The Goathead Tavern are also cool. As a full band, we obviously like places with a larger stage area, but smaller
