What causes large facial pores
Some people have large pores simply due to their genetics. In most cases, nothing can be done about this. However, there are things that you may be doing or not doing that could cause the pores to appear large. Large pores can be caused by sun damage, changes in the hormones, acne and blackheads, dehydration of the skin, dirt or oil trapped in the pores, poor cleansing habits, excess oil production, poor nutrition, the use of makeup, and smoking. Temporary illnesses and conditions can also cause large pores, including menopause or puberty, and some medications can also lead to larger pores.
