What does tooth ZOOM whitening involve?
This type of tooth whitening usually requires a single one hour visit. At your appointment, the teeth are isolated and zoom whitening gel is applied and exposed to an activating light for 15 minutes. This process is repeated in two more segments. Impressions (molds) will also be made of your teeth to fabricate custom, clear plastic trays for touch up treatment at home. It is normal to experience tooth sensitivity during the time you are whitening your teeth, but it will subside shortly thereafter. You will receive care instructions for your teeth and trays, and be encouraged to visit your dentist regularly to help maintain a beautiful, healthy, white smile.
