How is salvage handled?
A unit might not have special equipment to handle salvage on the field of battle so a MUCO can assume that he is able to rent such special vehicles on the planet on which the contract takes place. The renting and any other financial aspect of this situation is paid by the DMM. As for the salvage, it will be stored under the unit’s protection until the contract is finished and then it will be taken care of by the DMM until salvage is distributed to the unit (if the respective contract has a salvage clause). The salvage would be available for pick-up from Terra or from any of the newly proposed depot worlds.
