Why is a UA NetID necessary?
Your UA NetID verifies who you are when you use the many UA network services. Such verification ensures the privacy of your personal information and restricts the use of resources to those for whom they are intended. To make access to such services more secure and consistent, the UA has consolidated the identifications you need to just one: the UA NetID. For example: You must first have a UA NetID before you can create an email or U-system computer account.
