Do Tv Ears Systems interfere with pacemakers or defibrillators?

0

The magnetic field emitted by the speakers is minimal and when used as intended, TV Ears headsets should not cause magnetic interference with pacemakers or internal defibrillators. The magnetic field strength of the speakers is less than 1 Gauss when in a range of 1 inch (3 cm). It is recommended that the user keep the ear tips an inch away from any pacemaker or internal defibrillator. We have not had any customers ever indicate a problem but we recommend not placing the ear tip ends of the headsets (where the speakers are) on the chest or directly in the vicinity of a pacemaker or defibrillator. If the customer has concerns, we recommend the customer contact their physician.
