Are KIKO products hypoallergenic?
An allergy can be described as an inappropriate and harmful response of the body’s defense mechanisms against substances that would otherwise be harmless for people who are not allergic to them. No product can be defined as “hypoallergenic”. If you do not know the substance you are allergic to, but you have experienced sensitizing reactions in the past, you can carry out a “patch test”. This is done by simply applying an amount of product as big as a coin (taking it from a tester) on the inside of the forearm. The ideal would then be to allow a day to go by; if this is not possible, 20 or 30 minutes will suffice. If the area to which you have applied the product becomes red or shows any type of reaction, the product most likely contains a raw material that your skin does not tolerate. Otherwise, if there is no reaction you can go ahead and use the product safely.
