What is Pave Rings?
From the French word meaning “to pave”, many tiny diamonds (usually brilliant cut) are set close together to cover the surface of pave rings and create a gleaming effect. The word “pavé” is of French origin (pronounced “pah-VEY”), which means that the diamonds in the pave rings are set closely together without any partitions. Pave settings are constructed by drilling small holes into the ring shank, which the stones are inserted into. There are two different kinds of pave rings settings. The first type is a single band with a row of diamonds. The band can be thin or wide. The thin band accomodates small chips while the wide band is suited for larger diamond chips, and will cost more. The other pave rings design has a wide band with several clustered rows of diamonds set at slightly different angles to each other. Pave diamond bands without a center stone are referred to as eternity rings or anniversary bands. Pave Rings – Pave Diamond Rings Pave diamond engagement rings are very glamor
