What the connecting link of coconut oil with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)?
LIPID is the medical term for fats. Lipid coated microorganisms such as viruses and bacteria have an envelope of fats covering its basic life structure called nucleotides (DNA and RNA). This is the reason why ordinary antibiotics could not easily penetrate and kill this type of microorganisms, However, several researchers have reported that MCFA particularly lauric fatty acids which is predominantly present in coconut oil can penetrate and dissolve the said lipid coating.
