What is a PMG?
PMG, or Personal Mobile Gateway, is a new category of mobile devices. These devices bring additional revenues to mobile operators and manufacturers by enabling high-value products and services to be delivered to mobile users. The PMG brings consumers the ability to optimize their mobile experience incrementally: adding to their collection of connected devices according to their budget, over time, and by using a single subscription for the entire collection. The PMG combines cellular (e.g. GSM/GPRS, CDMA, etc.) and short distance wireless (e.g. Bluetooth or other technologies like WiFi), with micro-router and micro-server functionalities. It is the point of connection between the wireless network and the new category of affordable and best-of-breed mobile devices (Sleek Devices) for consumers.
