Do Private Views/Folders roam?

No. Because private views/folders can be stored in the Desktop6.ndk file which does not replicate for roaming purposes, a Roaming User may find that a private view/folder is not available for a database at another machine. When a user creates a private view in a database and the option, “Create Personal Folders/Views” is not a selected preference/right for that user in the Access Control List (ACL) of the database, the private view is stored in the user’s desktop file, which does not roam. To work around this issue, the Designer of the database must enable the option “Create Personal Folders/Views” in the database ACL to allow private views/folders to roam (to be stored in the actual database itself instead of the desktop.) For more information refer to the document, “Notes 6.0.1 Roaming User: Private Views Stored in DESKTOP.DSK Do Not Roam” [#1087127].
