Intern, Trainee or Seasonal Worker?
Intern: is currently enrolled in and pursuing academic studies abroad, or has graduated from an overseas institution no more than 12 months prior to the start date of his or her exchange visitor program. MAXIMUM INTERN PROGRAM DURATION: 12 months Trainee: has a degree or professional certificate from a postsecondary academic institution abroad and at least one year of related work experience acquired outside the United States, or has five years of related work experience acquired outside the United States. MAXIMUM TRAINEE PROGRAM DURATION: 18 months Seasonal Workers/ Work & Travel Program: International students, who work as seasonal employees in the summer break.
