How warm is it compared to blankets?
It is difficult to give a woollen quilt a blanket rating because blankets themselves vary enormously and quilts operate in a vastly different manner to blankets where weight and type of fibre relates more directly to their warmth rating. In winter, a wool quilt insulates you effectively, keeping you warm and cosy. This can be the equivalent of three quality blankets. In summer, the same wool quilt absorbs excess moisture (and excess heat) away from your body, keeping you cool and dry. This can be more similar to 1-2 blankets. It is fair to say that MiniJumbuk wool quilts are all designed to keep you comfortable over a wide range of temperatures throughout the year. MiniJumbuk also produce a range of quilt filling and casing weights for those who prefer a lighter or cosier feel. Ask your local stockist for advice on which range might best suit your needs.
