How is my rateable value assessed?
Rateable Value’s (RV) were originally assessed by the District Valuation Officer on behalf of the Inland Revenue and these are used by Severn Trent Water to levy charges. Rateable values were assessed based on many criteria and included the size of the property, the number of rooms inside the property, the amenities available and the overall location.
