Radon is a naturally occurring gas that results from the breakdown of uranium. It can dissolve in water and contaminate the water supply. When it is sitting in the ground or inside pipes, radon contaminated water is not too much of a problem. When the water is unsettled through showering or washing clothes and dishes then the radon releases from the water and into the air. Radon gas is deadly to humans.
