Can sleeping pills become addictive?

0

All sleeping pills can be psychologically addictive. That means your mind thinks you can’t sleep without them. Most are also physically addictive (your body may go though a physcial withdrawl when the drug is removed) but there are some new ones that claim they aren’t. BTW I became psychologically addicted to benadryl. That shows that you can be psychologically addicted to anything.

I believe I have an addiction to sleeping pills. I use several different brands of OTC sleeping pills and take about 7 to 15 every night. I’ll do whatever I have to so I can get them. I haven’t told my treatment team about this yet. I did tell them I was planning to commit suicide. I don’t know if I should re-think this and try to get help for my addiction, or just give up and kill myself.
