My OpenVMS system currently uses DECnet to communicate with my CT or ST gateway. What changes are needed to force the OpenVMS system to use TCP/IP?
No changes (except the gateway name or address) are needed. By default, all current versions of OpenVMS SNA Products first try to establish a DECnet connection with a gateway. If a DECNet connection cannot be established, a TCP/IP connection is attempted. Each of the products can also be customized to attempt the TCP/IP connection first. Please see the HP product documentation for more information.
