While AVL data is not required to run LiveMUM, the application can intelligently use AVL information to make move-up recommendations. LiveMUM constantly polls unit’s X/Y coordinates to determine if it is moving, and when the unit stops, LiveMUM temporarily assigns the unit to its nearest post/station to make move-up decisions.
