solarboy- The most effective ways of birth control other than pills and condoms are: abstinence (no sex with a member of the opposite sex) Vasectomy (male tying & removal of part of the vas deferens) Tubal ligation (of the fallopian tube = typing & part removal) Avoiding vaginal sex Worst methods = rhythm method, early withdrawal = parenthood
When we of my generation were young, there was not the abundant availability of contraception that you have today, in fact in Mass it was illegal to even have a doctor prescribe contraception until the 1970s. Imagine that if you can, which is why folks of my age are so down on women that get themselves “accidentally” pregnant these days, totally unacceptable and absolutely no excuse. And as for using abortion as a means of contraception, which it has become, well I find that so abhorrent that a so called civilised society can countenance the practise. Here is a form of birth control that I can guarantee will work. I regret that it falls to the ladies to have to do it, but then they are the folks that get pregnant. You can use this method it you are caught somewhere without any other form of protection. Take a small piece of toilet tissue or paper hankie and roll and screw it up until it is the size of match head and during the “act” the lady holds it between her knees.
