Who overthrew Nicholas II?
Nicholas II was in a totally impossible situation. The Bolsheviks eventually overthrew him, because the only people who could lead that country were nasty people who were willing to kill citizens. Lenin ordered the execution of Nicholas II and his family. He, his wife, and his four lovely daughters and 13 year old son were mercilessly shot down by cowards who were told, by Lenin, to do so. Nicholas II is depicted as a man who was unable to lead a country, a man who had no leadership skills, a man who always did the wrong thing. I believe he was given a bum rap. He was totally dedicated to his country. He wanted the best for Russia. He became Tsar as a 26 year old man with a 22 year old wife, placed in the position of ruling one sixth of the land mass of the world. He did the best he, or anyone, could have done.
