What is the XPS Print Path (formerly called the Metro print path)?
The XML Paper Specification (XPS) print path (formerly called the Metro print path) is the print path in Microsoft Windows Vista. It provides support for both the new XML Paper Specification Document Format and the Windows Presentation Foundation graphics engine. While the XPS print path is a new technology designed for Windows Vista, Microsoft is planning on providing XPS print path support for previous version of Windows also.
