Who is Patrick Flanagan?
Working primarily in the field of biophysics, Patrick Flanagan began his life long career as a research scientist at an early age. At the young age of 14, he invented the Neurophone, a device that allows people to hear through intrinsic methods of ultrasonic detection. When Patrick was just 17, he was recognized by Life Magazine as one of the most important young scientists in America. As a primarily self-taught student, bypassing his teachers, Patrick chose to work with prominent scientists as mentors instead of following the traditional academic path to advanced degrees. When Patrick was 18, he and Dr. Henri Coanda (who was 78 at the time) worked at Huyck Research Laboratories in Stamford Connecticut as consultants to the US Government.
