The main purpose of the Community for Advanced Graduate Training (CAGT) web site is to be a bridge between MARC U-STAR honors undergraduate students, recent MARC alumni and NIGMS-supported Institutional Predoctoral Training Grant (T32) Program Directors at research-intensive institutions. MARC students and alumni have access to information on T32 graduate-level training programs leading to a science Ph.D. degree(s), program contact information and potential summer research training opportunities at these institutions. NIGMS T32 Program Directors access CAGT to determine which MARC students and recent alumni are interested in their research training area(s) and may contact students directly for recruitment purposes.
