Lent is a very important time in the Catholic faith that focuses on the ideas of sacrifice, repentance, and reflection. These are hard concepts for children to grasp, but that doesn’t mean they can’t fully participate in the Lenten season. Here are some ways to connect your children to your faith. Explain to the children that Lent is about getting ready for Easter. It’s kind of like the weeks before Christmas, but instead of being just extra good for Santa, Lent includes apologizing to God for the times when you weren’t so good.
